Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) Therapy

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapy is similar to the more well-known PRP therapy, in that it involves extracting blood from a patient, and processing in a way that will deliver positive cosmetic effects when re-injected. It differs from PRP in that it contains a higher concentration of naturally occurring fibrins when processed.

These fibrins are then injected (usually in conjunction with a facial filler) into an area of the patient’s face where they desire more volume. This combination works especially well with patients who have thinner skin, and are worried about how the filler would settle if injected on its own.
